Say Amen: Rise Up

RISE UP

I have a dream that God’s people will rise up. They will take new territory as they make their ascension to higher ground. As they rise up, his glory will cover the earth.  It will be amazing to watch as his chosen take their positions on the mountaintops.  After years of prayer and seeking God’s face, those that are his will rise up from their knees to stand in his victory. Finally, awaken from their slumber no longer weak and feeble for they will find newness in the power of his might.  As the crescendo of his creation, they stand erect and firm. In a majestic display of strength and courage, they pronounce the glory of the King. The heavenly realms fill with a surge of praise and adoration that arises from them as they praise and worship the King.  The world watched and listened as the earth shook, demonstrating visceral reactions of emotions.  The rain of his glory showers the earth with miracles, signs, and wonders bringing forth an overflow of his abundance.  Upon each mountaintop, it could be seen the Son rising up over the mountains to declare his victory.  In the final chorus, the voices of those that were his rose up above the clamor and collision of the world systems announcing his majestic rule over all.

Will you rise up and take your place?  Will you be among those that usher in his presence?

Isaiah 60: 1Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.  For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

God is looking for those with clean hands and a pure heart to occupy until he comes again.

Psalm 24: 3-5 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

God created us to have dominion or rule over the earth.  Each human being has a place and a position unique to their design and capacity.  To rise up implies that we take our God-ordained place in our gifts and callings to build the kingdom of God.  As we make our ascension, we usher in his presence to a world that needs to see the resurrected power of Christ in a lost and broken world.
