Say Amen: His Grace

I heard of a little girl who was beaten for her faith, food poured over her head, and was taught to live outside the very word she believed.  I marvel at the woman she has become.   In my quiet time, I asked God how this could be, and he said my grace is always greater than your pain.

One definition of grace is God’s unmerited favor.  However, another explanation is God’s divine enablement.  God’s divine enablement signifies a synergistic relationship which allows a person to accomplish what only partnership with almighty God can achieve.  In a world framed by the tree of good and evil, we can easily find ourselves operating within the framework of this world system.

The world system is designed to keep you imprisoned.  The bars of your imprisonment might be the addictions that you have acquired to help you cope.  Maybe, it is your own self-discipline that fuels you night and day driving you to accomplish greatness.  Often the bars of our imprisonment are voluntary based on fears and frustrations or stereotypical beliefs we have heard since childhood.  Moreover, we yield to the world around us which enslaves us with its paradigms.

God calls us out of this system to partner.  According to 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 God says to “come out from among them (the world systems), and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty”.  We are not alone in this journey.  He may call us to leave behind all that we know… people, places, position, and pain but he has promised that anyone that leaves houses, land, and possessions will not only prosper in the world to come but in this life (Mark 10:30)”.  Ask Father Abraham.  Galatians 3:29 reminds us that if we are Christ’s, then we are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.  This one man’s choice to leave the Ur of the Chaldees to partner with God opened the door for Messiah to come and our receiving the blessing of salvation.

Not only will we experience pain during our time living outside of Christ, in our Christian journey, we will also experience pain.  However, we are to cleave to God and allow his Spirit to illuminate our spirit.  Whatever he has written in your DNA is for his service.   We often come to him with an inkling of our created purpose.  However, it is when the Ruach or breath of God begins to blow on us that we fully comprehend what he has laid aside for us.  As we receive the fresh wind of the Spirit, we hear him say “my grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.  2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 AMP

My beloved in Christ according to His word, I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified .  ACTS 20:32 AMP. My dearly beloved never forget that His grace is greater than you pain.

Say Amen: Rise Up

RISE UP

I have a dream that God’s people will rise up. They will take new territory as they make their ascension to higher ground. As they rise up, his glory will cover the earth.  It will be amazing to watch as his chosen take their positions on the mountaintops.  After years of prayer and seeking God’s face, those that are his will rise up from their knees to stand in his victory. Finally, awaken from their slumber no longer weak and feeble for they will find newness in the power of his might.  As the crescendo of his creation, they stand erect and firm. In a majestic display of strength and courage, they pronounce the glory of the King. The heavenly realms fill with a surge of praise and adoration that arises from them as they praise and worship the King.  The world watched and listened as the earth shook, demonstrating visceral reactions of emotions.  The rain of his glory showers the earth with miracles, signs, and wonders bringing forth an overflow of his abundance.  Upon each mountaintop, it could be seen the Son rising up over the mountains to declare his victory.  In the final chorus, the voices of those that were his rose up above the clamor and collision of the world systems announcing his majestic rule over all.

Will you rise up and take your place?  Will you be among those that usher in his presence?

Isaiah 60: 1Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.  For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

God is looking for those with clean hands and a pure heart to occupy until he comes again.

Psalm 24: 3-5 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

God created us to have dominion or rule over the earth.  Each human being has a place and a position unique to their design and capacity.  To rise up implies that we take our God-ordained place in our gifts and callings to build the kingdom of God.  As we make our ascension, we usher in his presence to a world that needs to see the resurrected power of Christ in a lost and broken world.

Just One Word: Vision

To live on top of the mountain assigned to us by Almighty God, we must have a vision like that of an eagle.  Metaphorically, our mountain is our place of promotion as well as our place of safety.  It is the place we are called to occupy.  As we make our ascension, we must have eyesight like an eagle.

Eagles live in the mountains and are known for their “eagle eye.”  Science considers the eyesight of an eagle almost eight times stronger than a human being allowing it to spot its prey nearly 2 miles away.  Its eyes are enormous in scale to the size of its face emphasizing the significance of its eyesight.  Eagles even have night vision and can spot its prey while its prey is sleeping and unaware.

An eagle has one of the most amazing visions of the animal kingdom with the ability to see or observe keenly.  Scripture contains 25 verses that discuss the eagle.  When we read about an animal in the word, we should pay close attention to the animal.  What was God’s purpose in using the eagle metaphorically?  I believe all the feats that are attributed to the eagle rest in his ability to see great distances and to soar above the earth by catching the winds.  This majestic bird appears to glide effortlessly and stealthily catch its prey regardless of whether it is night or day.  We must be able to see our enemy afar off, which ensures that the traps set to sabotage our vision can be spotted and dealt with in wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit.

One of the attributes that contribute to the vision of an eagle is his ability to climb high above the ground.  Difficulty in discerning our circumstances is experienced when we do not have an “eagle eye” perspective.  We need to see from the perspective of heaven, where Yeshua is seated.  Our heavenly Father has made provisions for us to have his view.

The eagle waits patiently to catch the soaring wind so that he appears to glide effortlessly on the wind.  It is in quiet confidence we pursue the vision that God has given us.  When we are weary, like the eagle, we are called to soar above our circumstances by catching the wind of the spirit.  According to Isaiah 40:31, but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
